Each sign is designed, cast, finished and painted by professional craftsman. Appleby signs are covered in two coats of rust-proof maritime paint. The letters, numbers and trim are painted meticulously by hand, not done by a roller. The emblems are painted like a picture (and, if you send in a picture of your animal, the emblem can be painted to resemble your picture). The resin is rust and split proof and is water resistant. Signs can be mounted on wood, masonry or aluminum siding and all installation hardware is included. Care is as simple as washing the sign with clean water and polishing with neutral furniture wax. Please allow 4-5 weeks delivery. If your emblem is being painted to resemble a picture you sent in, please note that these signs are hand painted and may vary from the original photograph. The medium viscosity allows for an easy incorporation of fillers when fairing putties, gluing slurries and filleting compounds are required. FLAG is more reactive than MAS Low Viscosity Resin when mixed with Medium Hardener, which keeps fillets and fairing from slumping. FLAG Resin is next day sandable when cured with Medium hardener at temperatures above 60F. FLAG Resin may be used with all MAS Hardeners, however, for filled applications we recommend Medium Hardener.

It boasts a low 600 cps viscosity for excellent thin-film flow and self-leveling characteristics, providing for complete wetting out of fiber-reinforced fabrics and reducing the potential for voids and other imperfections. Formulated from 100 percent low molecular weight reactive solids for excellent moisture exclusion, and displays less than 1 percent shrinkage when cured.
