The indoor/outdoor misting fan plugs into a wall outlet with the included AC adaptor or it can run cordlessly with the use of eight D cell batteries (not included), making it a nice choice when enjoying the outdoors from a remote camp site or a little closer to home in the backyard. The unit will run on high speed for up to 16 hours and low speed for up to 32 hours, and its sturdy base helps prevent it
