Naturally shaped end-cut slices of eastern canadian juniper used to set hot dishes and teapots on to protect the table service. Each piece is dried to stabilize the wood and will have one or two radial cracks from the edge to the center. Juniper is a close relation to cedar and releases a subtle cedar smell especially when used witha hot object.
