This unique silk hanging scroll exhibits a perfect reproduction of Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) folk painting called Minhwa. This particular work depicts a natural scene of fully bloomed lotus flowers and a pair of ducks. The design of the lotus, a symbol of Buddha's seat as well as the Western Paradise where Buddha resides, was used extensively for architecture, houseware and personal ornaments.
