The Blend control allows you to vary the mix of direct and delayed signals, and the center-position setting equals out both levels. Feedback provides delay repeats, or multiple echoes. Fairly high feedback with short delay settings produces a reverb effect. The Delay control determines the time between direct and delayed signals, and between the repeats when feedback is used. Strange, eerie, and unusual pitch-shift effects can be produced by changing the delay, while playing—especially while using feedback.

The Echolution is a dual delay, with independent Tap Tempo and Modulation delay modes. This arrangement allows the musician to switch between different delay sounds on the fly.When set to Tap Tempo mode, the Echolution has a maximum delay time of 20 seconds and a minimum delay time of 10ms. An on-board momentary switch lets the musician easily set the tempo of the delay. The Modulation Delay mode operates over three distinct time ranges, providing easy access to a huge array of delay based effects.The short setting (10ms-120ms) provides stereo chorus, reverb and slapback sounds. It has the usual controls, delay time, level and repeats. An additional control alters the tone of the repeats hi cut filter . The unit has been built using two 4096 stage BBDs. The max delay time is 800ms . Nice and quiet, no clock noises or hiss. The unit is housed in the same enclosure as the chorus, with 4 control knobs and two footswitches. One footswitch selects effect bypass true bypass , and the secondary footswitch allows selection between a short and long delay path ~300ms and ~800ms . This enables finer control over the short delay range effectively a delay and slapback selection at your foot .
