Cops and hippies never got along--that was until the MOD SQUAD arrived on the scene. Debuting in 1968 the hit series offered a countercultural spin on the conventional police drama. Able to go places normal cops couldn't the Mod Squad included a diverse group of troubled young adults: rich-kid-turned-car-thief Peter Michael Cole Watts rioter Linc Clarence Williams III and free-spirited runaway Julie Peggy Lipton. Together they formed a tenuous alliance with the fuzz going undercover to nab lowlifes who preyed on the young while also grappling with the moral dilemmas presented by selling out to "the man." Though the premise may have seemed far-fetched the series was actually based on the experiences of series creator Bud Ruskin who worked in an L.A. narcotics squad. This collection presents the first volume of the landmark series' second season.

The first two seasons of HEROES follow the series' seminal characters adjusting to their suddenly chaotic lives after discovering they possessed superpowers and facing dilemmas including time travel treacherous family members the looming apocalypse and power-hungry serial killer Sylar Zachary Quinto. Milo Ventimiglia Adrian Pasdar and Hayden Panetierre co-star.

Life continues to befuddle hapless millionaire and SEINFELD producer Larry David in this fifth season of shows. As usual Larry is joined by his faithful beleaguered wife Cheryl Cheryl Hines and his manager Jeff Jeff Garlin while regular guests such as Ted Danson Wanda Sykes and Richard Lewis are on hand to add to the mayhem. The fun begins with Larry wondering whether he's adopted after his father seems to suggest that he might be leading to a long-standing subplot that runs through the entire season. But as Larry tries to figure out his past the present throws innumerable curveballs in his direction with gay rights activists unhappy with him a sandwich that bears his name not being quite to his taste and a Seder set up by Cheryl ending in disaster. While season five will present comfortable and familiar viewing for those already familiar with Larry's antics there are a few surprises in store especially as the final episode careers towards an unexpected ending.

Howard Hesseman Loni Anderson and Tim Reid turn the comedy up to 11 in this sitcom about a radio station in the Buckeye state. The station WKRP may not have been a rousing success but this series found its audience through its strong cast and running gags. Hesseman HEAD OF THE CLASS plays DJ Johnny Fever who was a hotshot in Los Angeles but an on-air gaffe forces him to small-time Cincy. With sexy secretary Jennifer Anderson and disc jockey Venus Flytrap Reid SISTER SISTER WKRP IN CINCINNATI shows the station's attempts at climbing out of a ratings dive. This release includes every episode of the first season as well as episode commentary from cast members and creator Hugh Wilson FRANK'S PLACE.

TV buffs and historians will recall that the original spy series MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ran on CBS network television from 1966 through 1973 - spanning seven seasons - and achieved considerable popularity. It starred Peter Graves as Jim Phelps the head of a secret government agency known as the Impossible Missions Force IMF. Episodes concerned the IMF's efforts to crack cases of extreme international importance many of which involved capturing criminals or bringing hostages home safely. Supporting characters included Cinnamon Carter Barbara Bain Rollin Hand Martin Landau Paris Leonard Nimoy and Doug Robert Sam Elliott. Then in 1988 - fifteen years after the program's initial run -- Graves reprised his role as Phelps for a two-season revival of the series in prime time. IMF was still as covertly active as ever though gone were Cinnamon Rollin and the other original supporting cast members replaced by a new team of IMF operatives such as Nicholas Black Thaao Penghlis Phil Morris Grant Collier and Shannon Reed Jane Badler. This box set contains all 19 episodes from Season One of the 1988-90 series including THE CONDEMNED THE LEGACY THE WALL THE PAWN and THE HAUNTING.

The LAPD's most clever detective returns to solve more seemingly unsolvable murders in COLUMBO: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON. Peter Falk stars as Detective Columbo whose disheveled appearance and lackadaisical investigations disguise his sharp and shrewd intelligence. COLUMBO became popular and famous for its clever dramatic structure and Peter Falk's winning portrayal of the detective. The show was unusual in that it was broadcast irregularly but each episode was either 90 or 120 minutes long a length more common to films than to a television series. Each episode opens with a murder followed by Columbo's investigation and finally his revelation of how he put the events together. This collection of episodes covers the entire fifth season.

Part E.R. and part C.S.I. HOUSE is a medical mystery television show that's appealing due to its creative camerawork interesting characters and twisting plotlines. Dr. Gregory House Hugh Laurie is a brilliant medical professional but often alienates his patients and co-workers because of his abrasive manner and bitterness. In each episode House is faced with a person exhibiting a number of unusual symptoms and along with his team of dedicated doctors and nurses must discover what strange illness is afflicting the patient before it's too late. The show moves at a rapid pace spurred by its turning and suspenseful plotlines and the lively interaction between the characters played by a strong supporting cast that includes Robert Sean Leonard Omar Epps and Sela Ward. HOUSE: SEASON TWO collects all 24 episodes of the program's second year.

Lorelai had made a break with her conservative old-money parents Emily Kelly Bishop DIRTY DANCING and Richard Edward Herrmann THE AVIATOR when at a very young age she decided to keep her baby when she became unexpectedly pregnant. Since then she has been forced to turn to them for financial help with raising Rory and a tenuous peace has been restored. Mother and daughter are essentially growing up together supporting each other through relationship difficulties college worries and life in general. In the fourth season Lorelai manages to have an affair with her father's partner while also opening the Dragonfly Inn; Rory starts college but can't seem to meet the right guy; and Sookie Lane and Kirk all experience various ups and downs in love and life. It all adds up to some gripping television which contains laughter and drama in equal measures and a fanbase who hang on the every word and movement of each cast member.

This made-for-cable series is set in the flashy world of South Beach Miami where looking good is a full-time profession. Sean McNamara Dylan Walsh and Christian Troy Julian McMahon are plastic surgeons. Sean is married to Julia Joely Richardson and has a conscience when it comes to his job while Christian is willing to lie to get a woman into bed and onto the surgery table. Although they've been partners for years their opposing ethical stances as well as Christian's desire for Julia keep the dramatic tension bristling. Contains all thirteen episodes from the show's first season.
