Life continues to befuddle hapless millionaire and SEINFELD producer Larry David in this fifth season of shows. As usual Larry is joined by his faithful beleaguered wife Cheryl Cheryl Hines and his manager Jeff Jeff Garlin while regular guests such as Ted Danson Wanda Sykes and Richard Lewis are on hand to add to the mayhem. The fun begins with Larry wondering whether he's adopted after his father seems to suggest that he might be leading to a long-standing subplot that runs through the entire season. But as Larry tries to figure out his past the present throws innumerable curveballs in his direction with gay rights activists unhappy with him a sandwich that bears his name not being quite to his taste and a Seder set up by Cheryl ending in disaster. While season five will present comfortable and familiar viewing for those already familiar with Larry's antics there are a few surprises in store especially as the final episode careers towards an unexpected ending.

The Smurfs are a group of over 100 bluish three-apple tall creatures who live in the mushroom homes of Smurf Village. They are led by 543-year-old Papa Smurf (who doesn't look a day over 530). Their lives would be perfect were it not for the villainous Gargamel a wizard who spends his days trying to capture them to eat turn into gold or for other evil reason. Gargamel's cat Azrael adds to the menace always looking for a smurfalicious snack.. Its Season Two Vol. 1 of Smurf Adventures the Emmy-winning animated series [Outstanding Childrens Entertainment Series 1982-83] that delighted Saturday morning cartoon fans for nearly a decade.

Since then she has been forced to turn to them for financial help with raising Rory and a tenuous peace has been restored. Mother and daughter are essentially growing up together supporting each other through relationship difficulties college worries and life in general. In the fourth season Lorelai manages to have an affair with her father's partner while also opening the Dragonfly Inn; Rory starts college but can't seem to meet the right guy; and Sookie Lane and Kirk all experience various ups and downs in love and life. It all adds up to some gripping television which contains laughter and drama in equal measures and a fanbase who hang on the every word and movement of each cast member.

This made-for-cable series is set in the flashy world of South Beach Miami where looking good is a full-time profession. Sean McNamara Dylan Walsh and Christian Troy Julian McMahon are plastic surgeons. Sean is married to Julia Joely Richardson and has a conscience when it comes to his job while Christian is willing to lie to get a woman into bed and onto the surgery table. Although they've been partners for years their opposing ethical stances as well as Christian's desire for Julia keep the dramatic tension bristling. Contains all thirteen episodes from the show's first season.

So she buys a gun and when she witnesses a domestic fight and murder in an all-night convenience store she uses it to save herself. This first murder opens the door to others as Erica takes to the streets at night baiting criminals and extracting her revenge. Her vigilante actions become sensationalized in the media while her talk show becomes a platform from which to explore her new feelings about New York the "safest big city in the world." Detective Mercer who was assigned to Erica's original case begins to put the pieces together as the bond between the two grows stronger. THE BRAVE ONE is a gritty engaging and well-crafted thriller that relies on strongly developed characters rather than action and violence to carry a story that makes no easy assumptions about the definitions of good and evil.

Brett Ratner RUSH HOUR directed this lighthearted caper starring Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek as lovebird jewel thieves. After snatching a huge diamond out from under the nose of FBI agent Stan Woody Harrelson the pair retire to the Bahamas to live happily ever after. Yet after a few months Max Brosnan gets bored and starts longing to get back in the game. His chance comes when a cruise ship carrying a large lovely diamond pulls into port. Lola Hayek gets pretty mad when she finds out her man wants to risk it all once again especially since Stan is in town determined to redeem his sullied reputation by catching Max in the act. Don Cheadle is the local crime boss who partners with Jack for the heist or maybe that's a fake-out move to put the feds off the scent. It hardly matters in the long run as Max and Stan become fast friends and no diamond can match the beauty of the film's tropical island locale or its gorgeous lead actress in various swimwear. One gets the sense the cast really had a good time shooting this and their good vibrations will undoubtedly rub off on the vacation-deprived viewer. Naomie Harris 28 DAYS LATER plays a major hottie as a local cop who falls for Stan and agrees to help him take the other couple down. The legendary Lalo Schifrin MISSION IMPOSSIBLE conducted the pulse-quickening score.

Directed by John Maybury LOVE IS THE DEVIL THE JACKET features another electrifying performance from Brody. Acclaimed artist Brian Eno contributes a transcendent score which contrasts beautifully with Peter Deming's stark cinematography. As the weary Jackie Knightley proves once again that she's more than just a pretty face.

The simple life of Henry the fish however proves more exciting than mundane as he helps the US Navy defeat the Nazis during World War II.

Michael Crichton's directorial debut WESTWORLD is the direct precursor to JURASSIC PARK as the story of a technological amusement park gone out of control with tourists becoming victims. For 1000 a day patrons can visit high-tech recreations of historically based mythical settings controlled by lifelike androids and synthetic environments: a Roman world that recreates tales of ancient Rome; a medieval world that recreates the legends of the Middle Ages; and Westworld which recreates the myth of the classic Western. Two Chicago businessmen Martin Richard Benjamin and Blane James Brolin spend their vacation in Westworld where they live out their fantasies of the Old West mythology: chaotic barroom brawls random love with beautiful prostitutes and a violent jailbreak during which they shoot the local sheriff. But the complex technology that supports these fabricated worlds develops complicated syndromes faster than the scientists behind the scenes can resolve them. Soon the entire resort breaks down into chaos and the androids turn hostile on the visiting tourists. WESTWORLD is both a retread on classic science fiction themes and a precocious critique of the false values and artificiality of the encroaching mass culture.

WE ARE MARSHALL directed by McG THE O.C. FASTLANE tells the tragic true story of how the university and the citizens of Huntington rebuilt the football program and dealt with the loss of so many of their own. The university's president Donald Dedmon earnestly portrayed by David Strathairn GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK hires the only willing coach to take on such a daunting task Jack Lengyl Matthew McConaughey. With the help of the lone Marshall football coach Red Dawson Matthew Fox and the three remaining players who weren't on the plane Coach Lengyl sets out to restructure Marshall's team and spirit. But for some in the community it's still too soon including Paul Griffen Ian McShane who lost his football-star son. They fear that moving on so quickly is disrespectful to those who died and to the loved ones who still mourn. The film emphasizes this issue illustrating the struggle of that harrowing time at Marshall and in college football history. Although WE ARE MARSHALL contains a similar theme to other sports movies rising from adversity the tragedy of so many lives lost in a small community and the painful recovery sets this film apart. Strong performances by McConaughey FAILURE TO LAUNCHhis wit and energy adds much needed doses of comic relief Fox LOST and McShane DEADWOOD successfully help bring the historical and inspiring story of Marshall University to the big screen a must-see for all sports fans.

In addition to scoring one of the biggest surprise hits in television history NBC generated a veritable pop-culture phenomenon with its 20-something sitcom smash FRIENDS.
