 | Fantastic prices with ease & comfort of Amazon.com! (In-Stock) It's hard to pinpoint the exact moment Modest Mouse started sounding like a real band. For the longest time, singer-songwriter Isaac Brock seemed to exist solely to defy the established rules, forging forward on sheer momentum and ingenuity. Even Pavement looked relatively ordinary in comparison to the band's early releases like 1996's This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About and 1997's The Lonesome Crowded West. But on Good News for People Who Love Bad News, the frontman sounds like he's finally touching the earth, and the band--minus founding member and drummer Jeremiah Green--follows suit. A relaxed mood prevails, not so much in volume but in attitude. On the follow-up to the group's 2000 major label debut, The Moon & Antarctica, big sloppy melodies battle it out with brass on punky epics like "Float On" and "The Ocean Breathes Salty." The lyrics are simpler, the arrangements tamer, but the vitality remains. The prevailing mood is that Modest Mouse has pulled off something extraordinary here: a well-rounded, lovable record that doesn't sound anything like David Gray. --Aidin Vaziri | | SEE IT |

Producer Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool) seeks range with some midtempo pop/rockers like "The Devil in Stitches, " "Won't Somebody, " and "Cyanide, " the latter with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Mike Campbell on slide guitar. Elsewhere, "Only Rain" takes it back to their roots and features some of Bad Religion's most provocative anti-Christian commentary -- which is saying a lot for a band with a crossed-out cross for a family crest. ~ Jason Lymangrover | | SEE IT |

On The Fame, it's as if Gaga took two parts Dance-Pop, one part Electro-Pop, and one part Rock with a splash of Disco and burlesque and generously poured it into the figurative martini glasses of the world in an effort to get everyone drunk with her Fame. 'The Fame is about how anyone can feel famous, ' she explains. 'Pop culture is art. It doesn't make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embrac | | SEE IT |

Citizen Fish formed in Bath, England, in 1989 following the splits of their previous bands Subhumans and Culture Shock. They have delivered their unique Ska-infused Punk Rock to eager audiences while touring across the world the past two decades. Dick Lucas's frantic vocal delivery combined with the catchy riffs and driving Punk of their unforgettable live performances continues to earn the band legions of new fans and brings working class radical politics to generations of questioning minds. These guys are masters at mixing Punk with Ska, and they top it off with sharply observed, politically charged lyrics. | | SEE IT |
