This mug is superbly crafted in a rich, Green Ash glaze combined with a red-orange-brownish glaze. (Click on pics above for larger view and to see variation of glaze). Each mug is approximately 16 ounces and is approximately 5 and 3/4 inches in height and about 4 1/4 inches wide (including the handle). These are high-fired stoneware (2385 degrees, Cone 11) for maximum durability. Each piece is wheel thrown and, as with all hand crafted pottery, the coloring and size will vary from piece to piece, making each piece a one-of-a-kind. This is a gorgeous new Polish Pottery pumpkin from the Manufaktura factory in Poland. This beautiful pumpkin is in a Unikat pattern we call Early October. The light spots on this photo are from our camera flash. Only one (9") pumpkin offered. This pumpkin measures 9" high to the tip of the stem and 7" high to the top of the "fleshy" pumpkin part. It is 9" wide. There is an opening at the bottom of your pumpkin for your tealight or for a battery operated light. With a light in place, the cheerful grinning Jack-O-Lantern face glows softly. But, turn him around (the back is all pumpkin and no cut outs) and you have a simple "off season" pumpkin to display. This would be a wonderful addition to or beginning of any Polish pottery collection. And a unique gift for anyone who loves the festive Halloween holiday. In order to protect this large pumpkin, it will be packed in a 14" x 14" x 14" box with lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts.
