HOW SWITCH PLATES ARE MADE I hand make each switch plate to order using high quality images that are applied to a sturdy flat plastic base. The surface is not textured to ensure carefree maintenance and minimal dust collection. Each plate is sealed with several layers of clear semi gloss to protect it from water damage and discoloration.Often times a minimal amount of screw holes are cut out of the plate to maintain the integrity of the image.
