 | Fantastic prices with ease & comfort of Amazon.com! (In-Stock) The Etude is the most popular model in the La Patrie lineup. The Etudes specifications match those of the Motif (our sku# 513431) but with a full size body. Incredibly responsive thanks to the feather-light Custom Polished finish, this guitar features great dynamic range along with the harmonically rich sound that you usually find in a guitar several times the price.Pressure tested topAll LaPatrie guitars feature select pressure tested solid cedar tops. Graded and tested for their excellence and structural integrity, this method of pressure testing each solid top ensures the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity along with maximum harmonic vibration. This benefits the overall tone, projection and resonance of these finely crafted instruments.800 year-old woodThe wood used in these tops can be found only in previously fallen cedar trees that have an average age of about 800 years. Characteristically speaking, this wood features a tight straight grain, which produces greater rigidity while at the same time is flexible across the grain lines.Custom polished finishLaPatrie guitars also feature a Custom Polished finish, which is reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th Century. This Custom Polished Finish, as opposed to "thick" polyester finishes, allows the top not only to be protected but also to breathe and vibrate freely allowing the effective and very important aging process to take its course. This aging process means that every LaPatrie acoustic guitar will actually sound better and better the more its played over time.Carved neckThe necks on LaPatrie guitars are carved from Honduras mahogany and feature an innovative double-function truss rod system not generally found in traditional classical guitars. This system allows the profile of the neck to be reduced producing a neck of extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability. Each LaPatrie nylon string guitar is finished off with an intricate rosette, cream binding, rosewood fingerboard and bridge as wel | | SEE IT |

(In-Stock) The Etude Lefted-Handed Classical Guitar has a solid cedar top, mahogany laminate back & sides, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle, gold "lyra" style tuners with pearloid buttons, and semi-gloss satin finish. The Etude is the most popular model in the La Patrie lineup. It features a full size body and is incredibly responsive thanks to the feather-light lacquer finish. The etude has great dynamic range along with the harmonically rich sound that you usually find in a guitar several times the price.800 Year Old Trees All LaPatrie guitars feature solid cedar tops. The wood used in these tops can be found only in cedar trees that have an average age of about 800 years. The tight, straight grain in this wood makes it strong in the direction of the string tension while at the same time flexible across the grain lines. It is this combination of rigidity and flexibility that give the top its resonance. The vibration of the guitar top is the most crucial element of the sound.Lacquer Finish LaPatrie guitars are finished with a special lacquer formula. This finish is light enough to allow the wood to breath and vibrate freely. The tops resonating capacity actually improves as the guitar is played over an extended period of time. This gradual improvement in the response of the top is often referred to as "aging". Poly finishes inhibit top vibration and are therefore never used on LaPatrie guitars. Many other guitars use a thick plastic finish that smothers top vibration and prevents the benefits of aging.Classics that are comfortable to playClassical guitars of the past have typically been made with thick neck dimensions, while this promoted a certain amount of neck stability, it often made certain playing aspects difficult to execute. It is for this reason that special attention was directed to the neck design of the LaPatrie guitars. Neck width and string spacing conform to classical standards, but a new truss rod system allows the profile of the neck to be reduced producing a neck of extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability. The LaPatrie necks are carved from Honduras mahogany. All LaPatrie models feature a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.Top: Solid CedarBack & sides: mahogany laminateNeck: MahoganyFretboard: RosewoodNut width: 2-3/32"Bridge: Rosewood w/compensated saddleScale Length: 25-1/2"Tuners: gold "lyra" style w/pearloid buttonsFinish: Satin | | SEE IT |

 | Fantastic prices with ease & comfort of Amazon.com! (In-Stock) There is something primal, soothing and beautiful about classical Indian music, a tradition which is one of the oldest in the world. It is said that the original masters of music from India were able to make rain happen spontaneously during the dry season or even light a candle simply by playing the appropriate ragas (traditional Indian melodies) with the right intention. Today, even if those wonders are not to be found (at least in plain sight), the power of music to affect our mood is still undeniable. A simple melody can bring back memories or it can simply make us feel happy, sad, longing or even euphoric. This compilation of ragas and traditional instruments were specially designed to allow for an experience of deep relaxation and calm. This compilation by Music for Deep Relaxation features some world-class musicians such as flute master V.K. Raman and Vivek Sonar, the most senior disciple of Hariprasad Chaurasia. The album also includes accomplished up and coming talent such as the beautiful veena player, Gayatri Govindarajan and the passionate sitar player, Chirag Katti. This music is perfect to listen to while studying, working or simply while chilling out or before going to bed. We invite you to explore the tremendous wealth that classical Indian music offers. This product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media.
